im building a new pc soon and i was just wondering if i bourght windows OEM version what is the difference between the retail version? i was reading something about the OEM version gets locked to your motherboard so if i upgraded in the future id have to buy windows again?

OEM for Windows 8 has changed to allow you to move it to another system belongs its uninstalled from the first.
Win 7 OEM is tied to the motherbaord you originally installed / activated on, retail allowed you to move the license to a new system, again uninstalling from the first system.
