Well I finally prized open my wallet with a crow bar and after the moths had finished flying out bought windows7. However when I went to rip all my music back to my computer I dont seem to be able to! With Media Player 11 I could just rip them automaticly. With this new piece of **** I cant seem to find a way to rip music from a cd. It is not in the autoplay options, I went inot the media player options and ticked a box that said rip music but still nothing!

Have microsoft done away with the abilty to rip music or is it just very well hidden? I thought windows 7 was meant to be esier and more fully featured. Taking away the ability to rip your cd's is not very user freindly!

Advice?

Open CD in Media Player
Select all tracks
Click Rip CD.

Seriously, you could have used Google to figure this out in less time it took to post.

I tried that, does not seem to work. And why would I use google when I have a problem over a forum which is frequented by internet geeks. As with anything on google I would have had to fight my way through hundreds of links designed to sell me stuff to get anything even close to my porblem.
