Windrose - Pirate Valheim?

What game are you looking forward to that's coming out soon?

This year, not much tbh. Last year there was a lot of games which created a backlog.

None of the games on my wishlist that are coming out in the future are day 1 must play games.

There are a bunch on there that are already out, but not good enough to make me pay asking price when i have games i need to complete in my backlog.

Once i get through more of my backlog I might get crimson :p

As it’s early access do you lose progress when it fully releases? I heard it’s a bit grindy and don’t want to go through that twice.

The devs have said no, all EA progress is kept.

To be honest, if it's like Valheim then replaying isn't a huge issue when you know what you're doing.

Edit: although half the fun of Valheim is the procedurally generated map, not sure if this does too?

No luck with dedicated server in Debian or Bazzite so far, will see what performance is like running Windows in a VM, but I suspect this is going to end up being a refund request until there's a proper server :(

Shame, a few of us had a good laugh in the demo, but having to pass a save around or wait until a specific person is online isn't really a long-term solution.

Is there no docker image yet for it? Not looked at it properly as I'm in the office today

Docker is **** easy to use mate. Surprised u ain't dabbed on it!

I must be being thick - this is the docker image I've found: https://github.com/indifferentbroccoli/windrose-server-docker

I've rebased the Bazzite install I tried earlier to Bazzite-dx which apparently has Docker pre-installed, and I can run Docker from the command line, but I have no idea how to translate the instructions on that link into what I need to actually do :(

Works fine on Debian same as the original demo.

The game itself or the dedicated server?

I'll have a look later but at the moment I rented a gportal server and it doesn't even work..
