Windscreen chip - too small to worry?

Got hit with a bolt on a 40mph road the other day. Caused two chips <3mm and a small 5-10mm sub surface crack I think. Had a look online and I'm not sure if I should get it booked for a chip repair.

The chips are on the surface, but it's hard to photo the crack, it's a dark line about 7mm long, can't feel it on the glass surface

Worth getting it repaired?

Always worth getting it sorted, even the tiniest chip just needs a bit of a shock (like our lovely potholed roads) to lead to a big crack.

Cheers all, LV have a direct link to auto glass so easy to book in. Only issue I had is I ended up booking it as a single chip/crack in the hope they can just repair the lower chip and ignore the upper one as it’s just surface. Hopefully they can repair rather than replace, no chance I can be without the car.

As per above, always treat, the sooner the better. I've had very good results with glass repair kits from the beloved auction site. It's pretty straightforward, they're cheap and just need a bit of patience. Main thing is that you can do it in your own time and don't have to book / travel / wait to get it sorted.

Agreed with others who recommend getting it fixed as soon as possible.
I had a small windscreen crack that remained the same size for months, as soon as we had very cold weather and the car got covered in snow the crack spread and easily trebled in size.

Guy from Autoglass has just finished. Looks good to be fair. He did say with a small crack like that, there was a chance forcing the resin in could cause it to grow. But in the end it was fine.
