So driving back from Herefordshire today and I hear that dreaded sound and lo and behold, there's a chip about 4mm or so in diameter on the passenger side.

These Autoglass repairs with that gel stuff, what's the best way of getting that done? Do I ring my insurance and get them to arrange it, or call Autoglass direct? Which would be the cheapest option and also would it affect my premium at all? Probably a silly question but I don't trust all these adverts on the TV.

Thanks. I'll dig out my policy documents and see what it says and then call the windscreen number. I'm no expert, but I think it can be repaired.

I called Groupama on their windscreen number and they went through some questions. Criteria was that it's more than 6 inches from the edge and can be covered by a £2 coin so they can repair it. Just waiting on a fix date/time now.
