Windscreen scratched

Two of the metal rods which run behind the wiper blades have came loose and ended up causing fairly bad scratches. At first, I thought it was purely the line between where the screen was clean and dirty but alarm bells rang when it didn't wash off. Ran out this morning and changed all the blades but the damage has been done.

Is there any recommended products or methods for removing scratches? They are fairly light and mostly noticeable from inside the car. I didn't want to replace the windscreen

I asked this the other week, general concensus was that it needs to be polished out by someone that knows what they are doing or replace the screen.

slight derail but would claying not help at all? I ask as mine needs to be cleaned from ingrained specs of dirt, if it works for paint will it work for glass?
