hey guys, been havin a few probelsm with video files and dvd's
basically the only dvd player software ive found that works properly for me is winDVD.
by work properly i mean, doesnt cut out the sound when i enable spdif in the software so my amp can decode the DD or DTS signal. powerDVD will cut out for a second randomly and ive tried a few diff versions of it (V4 and V5)
as for winDVD, i just recently tried winDVD 7 which worked great for a time, then just stopped. if i put a dvd in my drive that had the crappy interactive installer on it, i couldnt get the actual dvd to play at all. but if i put a dvd in that didnt have the interactive player on it, it made the little autorun box pop up so i could select winDVD, which would then work fine.
just found an old copy of winDVD4 i had with a g-card and all dvd's work fine whether it has the interactive player on it or not, BUT as soon as its installed, all video files except .wmv stop working in windows media player.
the file opens, WM player says connecting... then playing but doesnt do anythin else. the slider doesnt move, the time doesnt count up for the duration etc and theres no picture
anyone got any ideas?
