Windvd or Powerdvd

Hi All ,this may have been asked before,but just wanted to know what people think about Windvd or Powerdvd ? i have used Windvd since around version 4 and i,m on 7 now and just wondered about picture qualities etc ..any views please ..

i believe both pacakges are pretty much even in software mode, although i like the virtual double fps in windvd when it works. For hardware assisted playback though it seems Powerdvd support mainly ati avivo and windvd supports mainly nividia purevideo so the card you use might help decide which is best.

You can use ffdshow to double the framerate using any media player you like and improve the picture quality by upscaling, post processing, de-nosing, colour/lighting correction etc.
