Wine recommendations.

Hi Guys

I'm off to a friends dinner party on Saturday and the task for us is to take a wine to go along with the dessert.

We're told it involves white chocolate and berries. Problem is i'd rather not go with a dessert wine as i find them overly sweet but i'm not sure if i'll have to go that route if i can't find anything else.

Over the weekend i did have a bottle of this which i brought back from Italy, which i felt might have gone well if i decided to go down the sparkling route but i'm not sure where i could get it in England.

A nice demi sec bubbly would go nicely, or a sweeter wine, like a Sauternes would be nice.

A demi sec would probably be a nice idea actually and not something i'd considered.

Might nip upto my local shop and see what they have available.

IMO you do really want a sweet wine with low or no tannins. Sauternes would be a good choice. You can get sweet sake as well which would work well.

Sauternes with that. I know you said you don't like but if it's for others too then bring some. If it's just for you bring what you like.
