Wing Commander Reloaded

A group of Wing Commander fans are remaking the original Wing Commander using a combination of the original game assets and Unity engine. They plan to remake all 40 missions and eventually include the expansions as well. I suppose technically this more of a mod as in order to play it you do require the original game files.

There no public links to download the alpha version so if your interested you will need to join the discord. I will be trying this out as soon as it's fully released, I played the original game but never the expansions.

I was a massive fan of the Wing Commander series. Played them all and the spinoffs (Privateer 1 and 2).

The nostalgia is huge for this

Ah man Privateer multiplayer was fantastic!
I only really got into Wing Commander with IV (all 6 discs of it) but I'll be watching this project. Looks great

I have WCIV on EA but have never installed it.
Don't think I'd ever play them again now. Maybe best to leave to fond memories

I'm relieved its that old. I thought for one horrible moment they meant Heart of the Tiger, took me SO long to complete that last mission.

I think i played a bit of one of the series, can't remember, i would look in to it but i saw the movie and it gave me nightmares, i've not been the same sice.

For some reason for the movie Chris swapped out Mark Hamil for Freddie Prince Junior, bad move very bad move.

I picked up Road Rash and Theme Hospital. Two games I loved playing as a kid back in 1994 on the Panasonic 3DO.

Have to say for some reason only Secret Ops I enjoyed playing, most of the rest, even Prophecy which SO is essentially a addition to, I just didn't click with. Prophecy / Secret Ops had some amazing music.

One of my school friends was massively into Privateer 1 and 2 - I think 2-3 years of their life they just played it every waking hour.
