Wings Remastered Edition (17th Oct on Steam)

I was just coming on here with the link to this absolute masterpiece, and seen you already posted this lol. Absolute epic game, incredible memories of my years playing this on Amiga (i still play it on my Amiga upstairs hehe) I cant wait to sample this again in modern form, I'm sure it wont feel the same, but boy I'm excited as hell.

Now lets have remakes of classics like, The Lost Patrol, The Last Ninja, Turrican, Shadow Of The Beast, Nights Of The Sky etc
 
That's so weird. I was only thinking of this game a few days ago and couldn't remember the name of it. Now I can and damn, it's being remade!
Price point is going to be key for this as you say AWPC.
 
I ***** loved Wings!

£10 and I'm in.
£15 will probably need me to be drunk and squinting through tears of nostalgia.
£20 or more....I'll wait for the sales.

gawd yeah, loved that game. I loved Amiga flight sims, actually more than Pc ones today lol..Oh wait, what if they re-did B17 Flying Fortress OMG :)

Then theres F18 Interceptor and that damn intro music :) Gunship, F29 Retaliator, F15 Strike Eagle, Flight Of The Intruder. The Amiga flight sim list goes on and on, all classics
 
It Came From The Desert maybe next according to one of the devs on the Steam forums :D now that & Ant Heads are 2 of my favorite Cinemaware games on Amiga I still own the originals along with Rocket Ranger which would also be great if enhanced slightly for PC ;)

Shadow Of The Beast is unlikely Sony are spending a lot of money to make this a PS4 exclusive as they own the Psygnosis brand :rolleyes:

I would love to see all those other Amiga games you mentioned get remade on PC in HD with enhanced gfx, same gameplay & few others changes. System 3 cancelled Last Ninja 4 many years ago but do not seem to want to make or remake it & they still exist with the same directors as in their Amiga days!
 
wow yeah how could I forget about ICFTD, Cinemaware sure sure did some awesome games back then, really pushed the boundaries out there.
 
I know they did, I actually have it, and it was a bit pants to be fair. They need to doa remake today, get it looking like War Thunder and I'll be one happy bunny
 
I'm already 20% of the way through Wings Remastered. Controls are clunky as hell, which is good for realism. Unfortunately you don't seem to be able to perform an Immelmann turn any more.

how are you 20% through it? It doesn't come out till the 17th supposedly

Just checking this is the game I thought it was...do you get a chance to fly tri-wing planes? And do you get to fly against enemy aces?
