I'm trying to create a WinPE ghost boot disk.

I have managed to integrate ghost32.exe into it using some instructions from Symantec. Using the same instructions I tried to integrate the SATA drivers but it doesn't seem to be working.

The folder that I am getting the drivers from does not have a txtsetup.oem file, is that normal for Vista drivers?

Any help is appreciated

I am guessing you are building a WinPE 2.0 disk?

Have a look at BartPE. Can put one together from a WinXP/Server 2003 CD and do as you wish!

Right followed all of that

It would appear that the network card drivers have not been installed, I put the driver files in the correct folder, it's an Intel Pro 1000 so I had to run the exe installer and then go grab the files it extracted from the temp directory, I presume that is right?

It has also not picked up the RAID drivers by the look of it, the RAID drivers are in two folders, disk1 and disk2, I copied both these folders to the drivers folder and left the txtsetup.oem in tact in the hope that it would still look in both folders, is that correct?

That I believe should work.

BartPE was a little funny about Intel PRO100/1000's when I used them but got there in the end. There is a small little app that allows you to create a plugin from currently install drivers (in Windows). I am guessing your PC is in Windows?

Yes windows PC, although it is Vista

What about the RAID drivers? Have I done something wrong there?

I seem to be doing slightly better with WinPE because it at least sees the network card

I assume that I need the devices installed on my machine to use that? I have a different motherboard to the one I am trying image!
