Hi,

Have downloaded a HD gaming movie - the movie has been split into x2 700MB file, one with a .001 extension and the other .002. There's one comment one the site saying merge the two files using win rar and then extract - how do I merge the two files?

When i open one of the files with winrar I can see the movie (a .mp4 file), but can't extract it.

Well, WinRAR normally detects it for me. I just click any RAR segment and right click, and click 'Extract Here', and it extracts from all the RAR files (aslong as they got the same names etc.)

I'll go those a go.

THe only options I have when right clicking are: add to archive, add to filename.rar, compress and email, compress filename.rar and email. :(

Just tell it to open the file with WinRAR. The program doesnt take ownership of those file extensions by default.

open winrar then open the first file from within winrar, as the shortcut options on right click will not work. You don't need a .rar file to extract you need to point it to the first file.

This. Open WinRAR and then open archive and select the 001 file. As stated you don't actually need a .rar file.
