WinRar downloaded black mesa, cant find it HELP!

I Downloaded Black mesa last night and it said it would take 4 hours, now iv noticed for some files when i download them it downloads in Winrar. Long story got up in the middle of the night when the download was complete.


Shut down the PC and went sleep.

I power up my PC and cat find the game anywhere, i did a search windows nothing comes up, and winrar is complicated and I cant find a recent download tab, can you help me guys it was the very last thing i downloaded if that helps.

i just crossed it out? but im sure it auto saves or do i have to save the files?

Sounds to me like it was downloaded into temporary files and opened directly upon download completion.

If this is the case, the file has likely already been deleted, if not it will be in %temp%

What does the Browser Download history show?

Don't say you use IE....7.

When you started the download, from the internet, it gives to an option or open (sometimes called run) or save. Which did you click?

"Just crossed it out" doesn't make any sense to me.

THIS WHAT HAPPENED MATE, well i just made myself look like a complete idiot, i think i downloaded it, saw it completed then crossed out the winrar window and i think it auto deleted, but ima re download it now thank you

I did find with Black Mesa, after installing, i couldn't find the game. Realised you have to close down Steam and re-open.

Talk about sledgehammers to crack nuts.

Just search for all large files on your system - wont take more than a couple of minutes!
