Winrar File Compression going bad

Hi guys I could really do with some help with WinRAR

Im trying to compress files with WinRAR. Even at best compression it makes no difference from the original file size and the compressed file size. However if I compress and email then you I do get a reduction in file size.

These are .exe files or .mov files. Any suggestions

Those types of files are already compressed.

Fiar play. I wasnt aware that .exe's were already compressed. How come the file size shrinks though if I do Compress and email. If its just compress then nothing

IMS i think it's something to with the file headers being put in the e-mail rather than in the zip/rar file itself...but i could be completely wrong.

also, try 7zip its freeware and has better compression!
