Winrar not very zippy :/

just wondering does anyone have the same problem i'm having, it seems that when I try to unrar over 30+ rar files, each roughly being 100megs, runs normally then slows the whole pc down and the ram usage goes to 100%? tried to do it with 7zip, same issue, winzip..well that was a waste..so yes anyone? :confused:

what compression was used on them? and what level
how much ram on the machine?
have you disable the pagefile?

page is still enabled, 4gb ram, standard compression, as for what level erm afaik its just all been zipped and split

Maybe they just have a really high level of compression applied?

It happened in vista for me too, also used to happen when burning a dvd with an old version of nero7. Only seems to be vista related and doesn't happen in xp.

I simply bought more ram and it fixed everything
