WinRAR Password Bypass

I know there are talks of these pieces of software, but is there anything out there that actually works. I have lost the password to one of my rar files and need to bypass it.

Anyone able to help me?

I'd always heard that Winzip password protection is easily bypassed, whereas WinRAR is actually almost impossible.

Maybe there are some tools available that can leverage EC2 to brute force it?

With WinRAR your only option is brute forcing it. Not going to happen.

if it was a short password, without numbers or symbols, brute forcing it might only take a couple of weeks.

if it was longer and contained number and symbols... you could be looking at decades.

A dictionary attack might be a better angle depending on what you usaully set as a password.

Assuming that you can take a few guesses about the password was like: between 6 and 15 characters, all lower case, you might be able to get the time down to a few hundred days using a brute force attack.

Brute force is the only way I know.
