I have a 20gb zipped file and I'd like to unrar it but not to a temp location but just to replace the .rar. This is because I currently don't have much hard drive space left.

dont you have 20GB spare? so you could unrar it, then delete the .rar?

just out of interest, what is it? Fellowship of the Ring in 1080p is only 12GB or so..

Well I removed the temp folder settings so am guessing that should work.

It basically unzips it to a temp location, then copies it to the location you want it. Which is 40GB.
