I've probably said this before (have a terrible memory) but does anyone else's car take absolutely flaming ages to warm up / clear ice? I think the thing is the engine doesn't really warm up at all while the car is stationary so the blowers don't really put out much heat. Took 10 minutes to clear / demist the screen this morning (yes, that was with some elbow grease from me too). However, once I've started moving it's perfectly clear in a couple of minutes. Problem is I can't start driving without being able to see.

Feel free to boast about your heated windscreen / fancy EV pre-warming stuff. :p

Also, read the product on this ice scraper. LMAO. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01KU5ND4Y?psc=1&smid=A1H6ZSEKHX7VGJ&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp

Diesels typically take longer to start blowing warm air than petrol but some cars have a PTC heater to aid in producing heat sooner. Cool air can demist quite effectively as well if it is moving across the window at the right angle.
Oh yes, sorry should have said it's petrol.
