Winter Transfer Window 22/23

If he plays well at the weekend then the move is off.
I am hoping we can get through the winter window without losing any of our key players, to actually have a full strength season. We tend to not get in the way of players leaving, but I think if there is aspiration to reach the next step we need to stop doing it mid season!

We missed Caicedo greatly in the match against Arsenal, imagine we’ll have a replacement on the radar at least.

From a pure stats perspective, Weghorst (171/407) has a better goal-per-game percentage compared to Felix (61/204). Felix is a better player to watch and the wiki stats doesn't show assists but then Felix has had more yellow cards in his career than assists so.....there is that! I'd put money on him getting sent of at least once in the next 6 months. :D

Will find out I guess how they both turn out.

On the point of his potential replacement, I was reading something a little while ago regarding the analytics side of your recruitment team (in relation to Dan Ashworth and one of your scouts leaving) and it was reported that nobody employed by Brighton had any knowledge of the analytics and number crunching that goes on behind the scenes to identify your transfer targets. It was reported that it's all outsourced to and owned by Tony Bloom's private betting syndicate to prevent other clubs stealing your secrets by just poaching your scouts etc.

If he joins I think he'll end up as one of your best signings in recent years. His ability to win the ball back, particularly with those challenges where he engages/chases from behind and he loops his leg/foot around will be huge for you at the moment.

He's not Gini but in relation to the midfielders you've been linked with he's the closest.

I like him but I have to admit being a little cautious of signing anybody from Brighton. I liked Bissouma and Cucurella and both have been huge let downs for Spurs and Chelsea.

Maupay has been a huge success.

Burn and White are the highlights. Also, the lad who they sold to Coventry for peanuts is top scorer in the Champ.

I can't say I've watched much of Maupay at Everton but I follow a few Evertonians on twitter and they seem to hate the guy - Evertonian's aren't the most cheerful of people these days though so it could just be them. Burn's been a really good signing but White's been about par for the course given the fee he went for.

I really do like Caicedo but the money being talked about for him is a bit mad though. I think we've all become a bit blase with fees. Supporters just expect clubs to pay £50-70m on players as if it's nothing money these days.

Just heard on the radio that Wolves have had to buy Cunha after fulfilling the clause of his loan. That was to play 3 games and now they have to pay 50 mil for him. WTF is that all about, stupid number of games and a massive amount of money.

It was always a loan with an obligation to buy. Still a stupid amount of money on someone relatively unproven

Name one Spurs or Chelsea player that isnt Kane, who is playing well this season?
