United can definitely offer him more now... we're improving, Pool are on the decline (hopefully for another 30 years).
LMAO we have had a horrible start to the season with injuries and are a whole 4 points behind United after being minutes away from completing the quadruple, this is a stretch.

Almost is not doing. Reminds of this.

In the end you won two trophies without scoring a goal and winning on a coin toss penalty shootout.

Liverpool cannot afford Bellingham anyway and United cannot offer the stability. Maybe we could share him. :P

Right but i highly doubt players look at it like that do they. They see a team on the cusp of making history and just at the last minute fall short largely due to depth...something Bellingham would be adding. This Liverpool team is more then capable with a couple of additions of winning the lot...again.

How is the not scoring a goal (in the final) remotely relevant to whether or not the two trophies were won? If England draw the final of the World Cup but win on penalties I'm assuming this comes with an asterix?

I literally pointed out that Mason Greenwood who is only 18 months older got 49 games the previous season (where he would have been the same age) he was sold to Dortmund. I mean we was salivating for Sancho at the time who was equally young.
Big difference between bringing a player through the ranks and signing someone and introducing them to the team. You also had a far more quality in midfield than attack at the time so it was easier to give game time to Greenwood.

You're kidding! Utd had been a madhouse of a club for years before 2020. In the summer of 2020 nobody could have any real confidence in any assurances Bellingham would have been given from Utd.

At the time up until our second place and Europa League final finish there was constant progression and it looked like the right moves were being made. Again you are looking at Hindsight. At some point United will stop being run like a mess and will be managed correctly. Hopefully that is starting to happen now with the introduction of ETH and the Glazer's putting the club up for sale but there was no indication a collapse was going to happen when Bellingham was signed by Dortmund it was the complete opposite.

Adam, go look through my posts over the years, I was saying Utd and Ole were **** back then too. It's not just now with hindsight :p

No we didn't. We have been fielding Mcfred for several seasons. We had been crying out for his type of player since Carrick retired. It is only this season do we have a quality midfield.

You can say what you want but we had back to back champions League qualification through league position which hadn't happened since fergie retired, unbeaten away premier league record, went from 5th to 3rd to 2nd.

In the 20/21 people seem to forget we were actually top of the league at Christmas.

At that particular time period there was nothing negative towards Bellingham not joining here. It was in my opinion the total ineptitude of the board and those employed by them for letting not only Bellingham slip through the net but also Haaland and yes I would include Ole in that as well of those culpable.

You know Bellingham joined Dortmund in 2020, not 2021 right? Utd hadn't qualified for the CL back to back, they'd finished 6th and 3rd, having been garbage for most of the 19/20 season too. I'd say joining a pretty rubbish team with no long term plan, with a PE teacher as manager, who nobody believed would be there for the long term is plenty of reason why a promising youngster with loads of offers from around Europe decided not to join Utd.

It was widely reported that Utd were very keen to sign him and while you might not want to believe it Adam, he chose to join Dortmund over Utd. As I said, Klopp pretty much confirmed that Liverpool wanted him too, who were 100x more attractive than Utd at that time, but that he was set on joining Dortmund.

You’ve been crying out for a player like Bellingham since Carrick retired? As in you think they play the same way? Are you a scout for United?

Yes I do know he signed in 20 I was merely pointing out United were not a mess at that time period when we could have signed him. I believe we had more chance of signing him then than we do now that is a certainty.

Also any player will say what is correct since he did sign for Dortmund and I am sure Klopp wanted him as well and yes Liverpool were 100% a better proposition back then but then your owners wouldn't stump up the cash for something like that anyway.

With Jesus being injured, what about Ronaldo to Arsenal on a six month deal, can really stick two fingers up at MU then by handing the title to Man City?
Just can't see Arteta sanctioning it, he seems to have an issue with high profile ego players like Ozil and Auba.

No chance, it would be stupid to bring a problem like Ronaldo in, the man isn’t a team player and is nowhere near what he was.

His attitude totally goes against Arteta‘s philosophy

That's the main blocker as I see it, I wouldn't want him for longer than 6 months due to the disruptive influence and high wages anyway, so it would effectively be like bringing in an experienced winner on loan (no transfer fee) to fill a hole. From Ronaldo's perspective it might work as a short-term move, outside chance of winning a title without needing to leave the country, giving him time to line up his big move in the summer and Arsenal might sanction big wages on the basis it's just for six months, maybe heavily incentivised with winners bonus etc.

Any [first choice] striker Arsenal bring in would be a bit of a kick in the teeth for Nketiah, so that needs to be kept in mind, but if he's not the right long term option then maybe that doesn't matter. It probably depends a bit how long Jesus is out for. Smith Rowe should be fit soon so there's always the option of playing Martinelli through the middle again as a stop-gap.

I guess another option for him is Chelsea, who can offer CL football and with Tuchel having departed it's unclear how much Auba features in their plans moving forward.

People aren't seriously considering Ronaldo are they!? He is currently in the middle of a falling out with his national team because they too are realising that he is a massive drag factor on the team from a football perspective without considering the other **** he brings with him.
