There is a wider context to the Zubimendi pursuit and perhaps Arsenal have been planning for this move for some time. In the 2019-20 season, Zubimendi was part of a Sociedad team that also had current Gunners players Martin Odegaard and Mikel Merino in the midfield.
It is also worth noting that the starting striker in La Real's team that season was current Newcastle forward Alexander Isak, whom the Gunners have been linked with.
Here we go againinteresting
Was thinking the same, gives some Reyes vibes and his rumoured issues with being homesickThe guy has *** the bed multiple times when close to leaving before. There's a decent chance that he either stays again in the summer or 6 months into the move he wants to go home because he misses his mum's cooking.
Obviously this is an @Bigpig thread for the most part! However surprised to not see any comments on the Garnacho to Napoli links. Valuation seems a long way off but certainly seems like he could go
While I was initially excited by him when he first came into the team, I worry he’ll be a long-term ‘Rashford’. He seems a little thin skinned (though who wouldn’t be with social media, expectation these days, I guess.)Seems the valuations are off by about 1/2 or double depending on which way you want to go.
Certain players will be for sale but only for the right amount of money I imagine. Wonder if Garnachos attitude is playing into the clubs willingness to move him on. I get the distinct impression that INEOS and Amorim have little time for players who think they are billy big ******** after playing in a **** first team for a year and putting in decent performances in a sea of ****.
Elanaga is doing well, should have kept him! Looked promising when he was at United and didn't have a bad attitude from what I recall.I like Garnacho but I'm fairly indifferent. He doesn't naturally fit into Amorim's system, and there have been concerns over his attitude etc - apparently it was his brother leaking the teamsheets early.
Best case scenario he could be one of the best wingers in the world in a few years, but there are more than a few reasons why that isn't particularly likely, so I'd be fine if we cash in.

Why would they pay a premium, when every man and his dog knows you have to and are despite to sell.He is, but developing at Man Utd is much more difficult. Plus he's not a conventional No10, so would present similar issues to Garnacho.
For Amorim's system, we need 'proper' wingbacks, No10's and a striker.
Interesting, I'd happily sell him to Chelsea if they are prepared to pay a premium.

Mike Ashley, sorry Brexit Jim working his magicNever thought I'd see the day when I saw Man United looking down the back of the sofa to find money for transfers.
Billions spent poorly/wasted and no profitable sales, perhaps you didn't think hard enough?Never thought I'd see the day when I saw Man United looking down the back of the sofa to find money for transfers.
