Winter Transfer window 24/25

Least Sancho will be bought at the end of the season though.

No idea whether Antony will perform well enough at Betis for us to get a little more than we’d have got in the summer if he didn’t go on loan. Perhaps he’ll be even worse! :(
I've always had a big of sympathy for Antony, because he always puts in a proper shift, always keeps running and chasing, and you can see he's trying his hardest. He's not good enough, but he has the right attitude at least. He'll do alright at a club with more realistic expectations.

Yeah i agree. I know he gets mocked for celebrating against small teams, but i think that just shows how much he cares. Like you say, a club where he can have a bad game without millions of people mocking him will help a lot.

Antony is currently playing at his level. He is good enough for a bottom of the table team struggling to avoid relegation.

The problem Man Utd have is none of those teams would pay the money required for Antony. He is probably worth £20m tops. The real issue is salary. Any club interested in him will only want to pay him something like £75,000 per week. That means Man Utd would need to pay him off.

Essentially if Man Utd want rid Antony, they are not going to recoup much if anything.

This applies to the whole squad pretty much

No, I don't think they overpaid by as much for any of them.

They valued him at £20m previously and ended up paying over £80m. So they paid 4x what their own scouts valued him at.

You think you're bored ! there is so little transfer in, or transfer out...or even contract renewals, happening at Anfield at the moment that we might as well completely bypassed January and gone straight to February.
We didn't buy anyone last january window when we had half the1st team squad out with injury, no chance we dip into the market now when we have 3 1st team players that will probably need replacing come the end of the season

If I could wish for us to do just one transfer this window, it would be a left back. Just that...just do that one thing and I'd be content with the window :)
