WinTV Ministick Problem

A friend (not an IT geek) has a new laptop and a Hauppauge WinTV Ministick. It worked great when I installed it. Now they have moved house and it no longer works. It has scanned channels fine (92 odd found) but it wont show any picture. It is running on Windows 7 64bit Home edition. Of course the Hauppauge support forum is down just when I need it!

I'm going to suggest a driver update but I'm not even certain the ones on Hauppauge's website are newer than the ones on the CD it came with.

Anyone got any suggestions? Does anyone else have this stick? Anything simple to try?

First thing would be update the drivers. Even if you are not certain if there newer or not. If that does not work then post back.

Had that sort of thing before when moving to a different USB port. Had to reinstall the drivers and software, but there must be an easier way.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. It turns out that the new channel scan shoved all the refound channels down the end of the list leaving all the old ones at the top. So all is good again!
