WinTV PVR-150 MCE Card Problems

Never used a TV card before.. so im having some issues with it.

As you know the instruction manual is more than helpful to say the least

I have connected it up and its it recognised by windows so no driver issues.

I want to connect it to my TV to record live TV rather than connect the ariel to the card.

I am assuming that you plug the scart into the TV and then composite leads into the back of the card.

How do you get Media centre to record the TV.

What other applications can you use to record straight to Divx, avi etc.


Any help or links would be appreciated.

I dunno what the hell you are trying to do, but i think you're a bit confused.

You put your arial into the back of the tv card, you record programs on your pc and you play them back on your pc.

You can play your media back on your PC via tv-out on old tv's, or via DVI/VGA on a nice new LCD tv.

If you want to record what the TV is displaying you should be recording from the source that is feeding into the TV and not from the TV itself as it is only a receiver.

The source would be my freeview box and its built in to the tv.

I was thinking you could set it up like a video. Get and application to capture it from the from the TV using the composite leads connected to the back of the TV card.

I have the pc connected through vga into my tv which is my monitor.
