I am running the latest windows 7 and it is pretty good and stable...the only issue i have is running my wintv novat tv card with latest version of wintv from hauppauge.

The software installs ok and tv runs fine to start with...but when you close the prog and go back later...the prog wont run properly...you get the screen up and for a second it says buffering channels but then it stops with no picture.....and no buttons visible to change channels ....any idea what causes this....i have tried google and seen similar things but cant see any answers to the problem

any one have a theory for this

thx

Out of interest, I wonder why you'd want to use WinTV anyway, which I seem to remember being a complete steaming pile of horse manure (unless the latest version is radically improved).

Does Windows 7's own built-in media centre not work with your card?

To be fair to Hauppauge, WinTV 7 seems to be drastically better than the older versions.

However yes, Windows Media Centre or gbpvr are good alternatives if not.

I have this problem using media centre while watching and media recently, i have to move the slider back or forward a bit to get the picture to return and carry on

Its still pretty pants though :/

wintv7 worked great with vista 64 bit.....and no...media centre doesnt work with it either ....at the moment i cant get any picture on it........i have googled it a bit and i have sent a log file to hauppage support because it shows an error saying no tuner was available...see below
