Wipeout HD £11.99

Indeed what is wrong with it being locked to one account? Why should you be able to give it to all your friends? Cos that's the only reason I can think of as to why you would care!

How do you mean? I imagine it'll be locked to one account but transferable to other accounts if needed like the majority of PSN content is these days.

Transferable, what do you mean? You can't transfer content from one account to another once purchased.

If I buy this game on my account, it means that the other accounts on my PS3 cannot access this game through their profile. They would have to play it through mine, which sucks because it would have my records and my saves.

I don't want to give it to all of my friends. If I purchase a game on a disc, anyone in my house can play it on their account with their seperate records.

Sony seems to lock the games to one account for the more expensive games which also are available in retail like Warhawk, Ratchet etc. However with the cheaper games such as Stardust and Calling all Cars anyone on the console can play them.

This is assuming that Sony implement the same DRM limitation as they have with particular previous PSN games.

Oh, so you mean content purchased on the PSN is not accessible when using different accounts on the same playstation? If so, i've never heard of that problem, but it's not good i do agree that content bought online should be accessible to anyone who uses the same hardware unit.

When i said it could be transferred to other accounts, i actually meant it could be transferred to different playstations (if it fails for example). Worded it incorrectly.

Apart from GT5 and Warhawk all downloadable games have been playable by any account on the PS3. (I have R&C, bought on USA account, played on UK account).
Only 2 games have done this to my knowledge out of maybe 50ish.

Woot!! $20 - so that will be £20 then, taking into account the magical 1-1 exchange ratio?

Logon to PSN UK and USA stores, compare prices of content.

Up till maybe 3 months ago most content was a 1-2 exchange rate, now it is a bit less. (Obviously they cannot fluctuate it exactly to the foreign exchange markets, that change daily).

£11.99
$19.99

Seems fair to me.

It needs to be locked to one account to feature Trophies, does it not?

No. Off the top of my head I have PixelJunk Eden and Pain. Both downloadable, both have trophies, and both playable on any PSN account on your system.

I don't really know/understand the "only playable by the purchasing account rule" tbh.
