Any news when this is out?:)

Is it soon? or already out but flopped big time?

I was a huge fan of it for a while however i unfortunately ran out of things to do. This isn't because there was a lack of challenges, it's just that a large portion are well beyond my skill level. Managed to get gold in every grid in novice, tried expert and failed miserably.

Let's not even mention trying to beat Zico.

With all that said however, i played £12 for it and got around 25 hours of gameplay out of it, well worth every penny.

I thought it was dull and lifeless, almost too clinical and clean in it's presentation (and I am a fan of past Wipeout games).

Damm! completly missed the launch =/

Is it good?:)

Amazing game, graphics are awesome quality and never skips a beat even at 1080p  Presentation of the menus is excellent too, I would probably say my 2nd favourite game on the PS3 behind GT5:Prologue. Easily worth the £12 off the PSN.

WeipoutHD is essential old wipeout games in HD. How can it be lifeless?

Because in my opinion it just was, if that's OK?

I cant put my finger on anything in particular, I just didn't find it very exciting, and the music was dull as well (which could have been a contributing factor).

If it's any help, a few of us also disliked the music, our solution was to stick the wipeout 2097 album on our harddrives and tell wipeout to use that instead of the standard soundtrack.

Aye, I could have done it with a variety of albums on my PC but my view is that you shouldn't have to resort to that in a game that prides itself on the quality of it's music.

It's just simply a game I didn't enjoy, end of.

The music was seriously amazing imo!! X-project was one of (if not the) biggest DnB tune of 2006!! It was seriously the dogs knees on the DnB scene a couple of years back, suppose if youre not into DNB/liquid/etc though. That exceeder tune was really popular aswell but not really a fan tbh!

It was ok.

Nothing compared to some in the older games though. ;)

Thanks People.

I almost forgot about this thread:D

Ill have to get it sometime:)

The game is awesome. It is difficult though, so unless you are prepared to stick with it you might not enjoy it as much as you could.

Personally I've always hated most of the music from the Wipeout series. While it suits the game it doesn't suit me! I've got a few gigs of MP3s on my PS3 so I just play them instead :)

Have to agree with you on the music, I never liked any of the previous music either - havent had too much time to dedicate to HD since I bought it, but will hopefully over Xmas/New Year
