i loved the first wipeout on the ps1 and even better 2097 so iam realy looking foward to this.

Apparently it will be 1080p at 60fps, which would be awesome if true :eek:

But the cynic in me is thinking that it's really probably just an internal lower resolution scaled to 1080p, like 980x1080 scaled vertically or something.

Well, as long as it's 720p (i don't own anything with 1080p capabilities) and 60fps i'm a very pleased customer.

This game has been a long time coming and it looks brilliant.

It's about the only game that makes complete sense for using the Sixaxis in the PS3 controller that I've seen so far.

cannot wait for this - one of the reasons I bought a PS3.

The trailers look amazing, I can only hope the actual game lives up to its promise.

Its SCE Studio Liverpool, so we shouldnt get shafted. (am i allowed to say that?) UK development = win.

Loving some of the track listings as well. DJ Fresh - X-Project !!! What a tune!! Some sweet DnB tracks.

I was in the Liverpool studio just over a week ago, and from what I saw the game was still in testing. I'd be suprised if it made the 15th

Wipeout with less tracks and ships just to have pretty graphics...... meh

Old Skool Wipeout rules! Although the best Wipeout ive ever played is Pure on the PSP.

What I don't get is they are making another Wipeout game too. What's the point in Wipeout HD if "Wipeout PS3" is coming soon?

Wipeout HD is a PSN title, Wipeout PS3 is a full release retail product with probably a lot more content.

Why is everyone raving about Wipeout HD then and not saying anything at all about the real game. Seems pointless buying HD if a full version is coming soon. Bit like GT5P really.

Not really. Wipeout HD appears to be the levels from Pure and Pulse tarted up for the PS3, not a 'paid-for-demo' of the GT5P type.

I would imagine that the full blown retail product would feature new content.
