Hi would like a bit of help please before I make rather a mess of my sytem.

I want to wipe and do fresh install of Xp as you do when things run very slowly and have 2 questions that could really use some hlep on. First up I have 2 x 160 gb drives running on promise 2+0 stripe/Raid 0 (Dont ask my mate built system  ) can I just wipe disk then reinsatll or will I have to reinstall the promise driver like when we built system up?

Second I have a lot of emails that I would like to keep and I am sure I read somewhere that you can put the files onto 3rd drive and get outlook to reload them after install but not sure where to look for these.

Any help would be greatly appreciate before pushing the nuke button and pushing my blood pressure thru the roof :D

Thanks

Unless the drivers are included with the operating system, yes it will be necessary to load them at install time.

As for e-mails, if you open up Outlook and click File>Data File Management, you can select the relevent data file (normally there is only one), click the "Open Folder..." button and from there it's a simple copy and paste to your backup destination. Once in your fresh install of Outlook, again go to the Data Management panel and click the "Add..." button, browse to the data file and you're done.

Hope this helps, null :)
