Wire for fan clip?

I really don't think it's a DIY job as the clips are high tension and anything you can bend manually wont be able to apply the pressure you need. If you wan't something temporary whilst you wait for the proper clips can you use a cable tie?

I made a basic one so that I could fit a third fan to my Thermalright Peerless Assassin cooler. I had a length of twin and earth spare so stripped a length of the solid copper wire from the centre and used it to mount the fan to the rear of the cooler. It doesn't look pretty but it does the job.

Get some garden wire from Screwfix, £4 for 15m of the stuff. You will not be able to make it spring or anything, but it is stiff small gauge wire that you can make a loop through the fan holes and around a heatpipe in the cooler, then twist the free ends of the wire to complete the loop and make it tighten up. Then snip off the excess. Similar idea to Pastymuncher's twin and earth solution, but likely will be smaller gauge and thus easier to manipulate. Either that or some thin elastic bungee cord from an Haberdashery shop to do the same thing.
