Just wondering if there is a way of turning off the controller without unplugging it.

Some games I don't want to use it in, such as Crysis Warhead but if it detects it, it defaults to it, all the controls are explained as X for this, right stick for that, trigger for the other and the vibration goes mental and sends the controller flying off the desk.

I don't like having it in my front USB ports as it means the cable is all over the place, so I prefer having it left at the back. Obviously reaching round the back of the PC to plug it in and take it out all the time is hassle though, so is there a way it can be turned off without unplugging?

No i dont think there is apart from the control panel (at least I havnt found a good way). Annoying as my PC mic is broken so ive been plugging my 360 headset to the controller instead. Its fine until you load up something like fallout and it disables k/b & mouse grrr.

i know what you mean, i use the wireless one but sometimes put the wired one in when i have people round playing fifa, then when i want to play another game the wireless one switches to the secondary device no matter what usb i have it in.

why not sell the wired one and get another wireless, thats what i was thinking of doing.

Another wireless? I only have a wired one, i'm not spending £25 + however much on a reciever + batteries etc. for a wireless one :p

Looks like unplugging is the way forward then :(

have a look in the members market, ive seen a couple of wireless receivers and pads going cheap lately, not sure if they have sold or not though, might be worth a look?
