Wired and Wireless connections

I am wanting to know if it possible to have both a wired and wireless connections on the same pc and the same time and be able to direct for instance Firefox to use the wireless connection and internet explorer to use the wired connection.

I want to do this as my wired network connection links to my company's network that is behind a restricted proxy server, but I have a wireless broadband connection that we use to test certain sites or to download large files so not to use all the bandwidth on the company network. At the minute I can have both connected to all the traffic seems to just use the wired connection and I have to disable this in order to use the wireless broadband connection.

Is there any way around this problem apart from obviously installing a second network card in the pc and wiring it to the broadband modem? this is not an option as I dont have any spare pci slots.

Must be an eaiser way but possibly set up your own proxy server and direct each program to the appropraite gateway?
