Wired connection problem

Wired DSL straight to my laptop, which is running vista, problem is that every so often my browser's stop working, MSN works for a while longer, but drops too, yet utorrent still downloads?
I guess there's a stupidly easy fix to this, but im still pretty clueless with vista.
using AVG free edition, with windows defender

Found out that im getting a 'unbekannt 10013' runtime error, then everything cuts off, anyone have an explanation? google has nothing
