Wired or wireless?

I have an Xbox slim so I thought it was easier to connect via wireless, however I'm wondering if it has an affect on ping and just general connection stability.

Is it worth using ethernet instead of wireless for gaming?

I use mine wirelessly and it's virtually the same as using a cable imo. Same with my PS3, I always used that wirelessly too.

My ps3 is wireless but just as easy for me to plug in a cable but i only have a 5 port switch in my room and its full

Which reminds me i must upgrade it to a gigabit one so i can have full speed between my pc and the server.

wired, it just takes an extra probelm out of the equation, wireless isnt bad but if you can use wires without running a 30m cable round the house then do.

That said i drill holes im my flat because it has that stupid foil backed plasterboard for "improved insulation" shame its like living in a faraday's cage for wireless and mobile phone signals.

I run a cat 5e 30 m cable. Instead of my wifi on my slim. I tried wifi and it's just weird, as I never ever got 5 green bars. I tried moving the router closer. And it made no difference. Old router I guess lol. Wired all the way
