Wired or wireless?

Hi all just a quick question about my macbook and transfering files. What would be quicker wired connection or wireless?
My wireless connection say its connected at 130mbps. WHat would my ethernet connect at??

Depends on what you're transferring to/from, but if you have a cable then use the cable.

Going from my macbook hard drive to my home hub usb stick. Its quicker to plug the usb in but just curious as i will be using it as a music sharing folder.

On a 130Mbps wireless connection, you might see 50-60Mbps of actual data transfer. Wireless has lots of overheads. On an ethernet connection, though, you should get pretty close to the 100Mbps.

The limiting factor is quite possibly the USB stick, though. Most flash drives don't have very good write speeds.

Yeah thinking it may be the flash drive now, i had 6.36gb of music wireless was going to take 2 hours, then tried wired which was going to be about an hour. In the end plugged the flash drive into macbook and that did it in about 25 mins, bloody slow to me lol.
