Wired Router to 360 wirelessly?

A friend of mine is getting a 360 and want to go on XBOX live, he’s got Virgin Broadband in another room. He’s got a Netgear Wired router

Currently his set up is:

Modem – Wired Router – PC

He’s got 3 spare ports on his router but all are wired. Is there wireless add on (or similar) to allow him to connect the router to the 360 wirelessly?

I know there is a wireless add on for the 360, but am unsure regarding the router?

Could buy a wireless access point and connect it to one of the wired ports on his router.

But given that a Linksys WRT54GL would only cost £45 or so that may be a cheaper neater solution.

Another option could be homeplug networking, personally I would probably say that might be a better option if he's never really going to want to connect anything else over wifi.
