Wired Wii Connection.....

Has anyone tried to use their Wii with a USB to RJ45 connector in one of the ports and running it off their wired network as im finding the wireless in it very bad, my laptop picks up the signal from my bedroom perfectly fine but the Wii has difficulty connecting and seldom connects.
So i was wondering if anyone had tried to run it via wires using any old usb to rj45 connector, i know Nintendo are releasing one but i dont fancy playing an already inflated price for a simple piece of kit which can be had for less than a fiver.

My next door neighbour attemped it iirc, they also tried a USB wireless thingummy, both with no joy, I went around to try and sort it for them and ended up just letting them leech off my connection to save hassle.

Not much info to go on there I know but it does seem temperamental.
 
Hmmm well i've found that Datel actually have one released and can be ordered off their site for $34 inc recorded del (prices are in dollers even on the uk part lol) but i dont have a credit card only switch :(
I've found a list of compatible ones, but cant find any uk suppliers of them.

thats the site but they are from dutch and US sites. Guess i'll keep looking.
