Does anyone know if updating the firmware on a wireless access point voids the firmware as i tried and it dropped connection halfway through (so basically ruined it )
With routers there's a rescue mechanism where you can plug it into a pc and it will upload new firmware. But a wireless access point doesn't have a wired connection... looking at some on netgear's site they always tell you how to recover from a failed firmware upgrade with their routers, and theres nothing like that on the support page for their wireless access points.
Have you tried resetting it?
Its possible that it could revert to the old firmware if the new one has failed.
