Do you actually need all 900mb available to a single pc?
Also what router/ap will this be connecting to?
So you wouldn’t use a wireless usb WiFi adapter?I had a Gigabyte GC-WB1733D-I and that got me a solid ~400 out of 500 over WiFi.
This is quite an old card now, I can imagine that some of the newer WiFi 6 cards doing the job. And I had no problem with the SH2 router.
I used a NETGEAR A7000-100PES Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi USB Adapter and got this about 8 meters from router...

and I got this with an iPad 6th generation right next to router...

no I appreciate I’ll not be getting the full 900mb without an Ethernet connection.
No, I always found USB adapters to be pants. Best bet is definitely a card with an aerial on a small cable. I tried 3 different WiFi adapters before settling on the Gigabyte one which I got on the members market. So you wouldn’t use a wireless usb WiFi adapter?
Hi guys,
I’ve just been upgraded to a 900mb connection.
my pc needs to connect wirelessly for now.
What’s the best adapter for around £50-£100 that would suit?
