Wireless Adaptors for Xbox 360

Hi all,

can you use any wireless dongle with a 360? i have one somewhere but was about to go and buy a 360 MS one so thought id ask first!

You can only use the official Microsoft USB wireless dongle.

The alternative is to use a wireless bridge device which connects to your 360 via cable and is then wireless from there to your router.

If you look on flea bay for WGA54AG, F5D7330, WGE111 these should allow you to get your xbox online. Or if you'd prefer microsofts product some online retailers have reduced the price of the official xbox wireless adaptor from £60 to £34

I've got an old Linksys WRT54G acting as a bridge and it's easily the best wireless connection I've got in the house, plus 2 largeish aerials on it so great reception.

I used to run a bridge

had ps3/xbox and 360 hooked up to it and when playing COD4 on 360 there was noticable lag switched back to direct cable and lag was gone!

it may have been the old wifi router i was using but it was cured by removing the bridge (may try it again now I got an N draft router)
