I have a Cambridge Audio Azur 351r amplifier and I'm looking for recommendations on the best device (or replacement) to be able to stream FLAC files stored on a NAS drive, as well as use Bluetooth connectivity to stream Amazon Prime Music from an Android device.
I think there are a few considerations here..
1) Replace the amplifier with a more modern streaming supported AV receiver, I guess I would need to be spending circa £250 to have like for like audio quality?
2) Get a Neet bluetooth receiver (£42), has optical out and will enable me to stream Amazon Music to my legacy hi-fi. In this setup I would need to use my Smart TV to stream from my NAS drive to the hi-fi though (my TV does not support Amazon Prime Music). Not ideal but would work I guess.
I have searched quite a bit, but thought I'd ask for any recommendations either on which above option to take. But also, if there are any Bluetooth + Wifi/DLNA receivers in a combined unit that don't cost the earth?
I got excited by the Pure Jongo A2 briefly, but it doesn't support FLAC files.
I guess I'm torn, as by spending the best part of £50 on a bluetooth receiver makes me think why not spend a few hundred more and get a new AV receiver...choices, choices!
