Just bought a belkin n1 wireless ADSL router. I want to use it as a wireless access point through power line upstairs from the sky supplied router dowmstairs.

How would I go about achieving this?

Thanks in advance!

  1. Give it a static IP address that fits into your current subnet (but is outside of the configured DHCP range).
  2. Disable its DHCP server.
  3. Configure the wireless as you see fit.
  4. Connect to the rest of your network using one its LAN ports.

Google 'router as access point' for plenty of other guides.
