Hi,

My mums been looking for a little laptop to use around the house for email and suchlike.

I've managed to pick up an 'MX6215B' Gateway notebook for a cheap price, and it's supposed to have built in wLAN.

I cant find any option to search for her homehub to connect.

Been into device manager and in 'Network Adapters' there is;

1394 Net Adapter
Marvell Yukon 88E8038 PCI-E Fast Ethernet Controller

And in 'Other devices' i have 'Network Controller with a yellow question mark.

Any ideas how to get this working?

Sounds like there is a device with either no drivers installed or they have corrupted, check for a driver update on the manufacturers website....

Just be sure the device is Enabled first?

No big deal if you dont get it working , I use the USB wi-fi dongles and there very good , and cheap too. Just looks like a flash/pen drive and all you need is a USB port for it to plug into .

under device manger, the yellow marker next to the controller, im not sure if you can but if you right click it and click 'update driver'

Theres a wireless driver there for your model.
http://support.gateway.com/support/...el=11197&os=10406&type=10095&mfg=&bios=&ext=1

Have you tried a wired connection the going to windows update, click custom when asked about search method there maybe hardware drivers there.
Thats the way I done it one time and it worked.
