I want to have a speaker in the en-suite bathroom so I can listen to what's on the bedroom TV when I'm in there. I've looked on this forum, but can't quite find what I'm looking for. Is there a way to have something like a Bluetooth adapter connected to the digital audio out (optical)? Then I would be able to use my Bluetooth speaker. Or is there a better way of doing this?

Only helpful replies please.
Well then, use whatever search engine isn't blocked for the country of your residence.

The same problem with sites being blocked in your country of residence may also prevent you from viewing any links that repliers post as well. Further, there's nothing to say that if those sites aren't blocked that they can supply at a competitive rate to China. This is a British-centric forum, so it's likely that any products will have been made in China, then shipped to the UK/Europe with European taxes and duties paid, so wouldn't that then make any product more expensive than the same type sourced locally in the country of origin? Also, given the nature of global supply from China and the fact that those factories turn out the same or very similar products under multiple brands, I would strongly suspect that your local market will have the same type of product under several different brand names that possibly don't appear available to Western buyers.

So, in short, I have helped you to find the type of product that in a single item will solve both the issue of converting optical and then transmitting that signal via Bluetooth, and your response has been to complain that I'm not a mind reader in knowing that Google is blocked in China. Nice.

Edit: Well now, it has been a few days so let's tally the number of other posts that have made some suggested solutions. Oh look, zero. LMAO. There's always a chance that someone will post a link, and of course that might also be blocked in China so Anchundun may yet get another opportunity to "throw his noodles out of the bowl". (Love that phrase, thanks lude1962). Pip pit toot toot :)

Wow! Have you quite finished?!!

I posted on Home Cinema and Hi-Fi as I thought I would find expert advice from those who are actually interested in helping people. You have gone out of your way to suggest instead I should use a search engine for the exact same question I posted - yes - "Bluetooth adapter connected to the digital audio out (optical)".

You think in 40 years of using computers I don't know how to use a search engine?!!

I am waiting to hear from people who might have had some experience in doing this, who might have some advice or alternative methods. So yes, both your posts have not been helpful. So please stay out of my thread - suggesting people find their answers on a search engine is not helpful!

Wow, bit of a **** reply? What a **** you are!

Sadly OP it seems that the default answer seems to be to "Google it" half the time....pointless having a forum if that's the level of input!
