Wireless between two buildings.

Wanting advice on how to get wireless between two buildings aprox 500 feet apart with clear line of sight between them. Using cable is out as it would be about 1000 feet and fiber is to expensive. Any ideas?

quick and dirty method 2 ddwrt routers and use repeater bridge between them, if may want to use high gain antennas to get s good signal strength

Ubiquiti kit is cheap and effective for this sort of job.

How hard is the ubiquiti to set up, the person going to install it has little understanding of computers?

Get someone who has some network knowledge to do it.

They are easy to set up, but you need to know a few things..

Its fairly straight forward to set up. I would say knowledge of setting up a router + some basic networking knowledge is needed.
I.E Knowing what IP range and IP's you need to use.

In all seriousness though, if said person isn't sure then they need to take a step back and either learn about it or get someone who does know about it.
