Hey guys,

Currently looking for a new Cable Router (Virgin Internet Line), to replace our current Belkin N1. The wireless on this one seems to be very shaky, so looking to replace it with something with a better range, and stability.

Budget wise, wouldn't really wanna go over say £130-150? If its a fair bit less, then that's great!

Been reading that D-Link is the way to go? Currently looking at the DIR-655, which seems to be getting good reviews.

Any other ideas?

Thanks :)

DIR-655 is decent. The 635 is the pretty much the same minus the gigabit wired ports.
The 825 has dual radio support and won the Gadget Show best home router test on TV a few weeks back.

My experiences with my 635 (that I replaced an unreliable Linksys WRT with):
It has more options than most folk need. (VPN, endpoint control, filtering, QoS)
Handles torrents fine.
Has never locked up or crashed. (~1 year constant use on Virgin)
The control panel actually does what you tell it to. Unlike many.
Has no probs working with PC, Mac, Wii, PS3, Xbox, DS, PSP.

The Dlink was a bit of a punt because I was long time Linksys user.
Sadly their cruddy UI, non working features and random hardware glitches started to get to much for me to put up with.
It turned out to be a very good decision. I won't be going back to Linksys.

Yeah, the 825 looks quite good.

Might read more into the Sitecom Wireless 300N XR Gigabit Gaming Router and the Netgear WNR3500, price wise. Can't find too many places with the 825, so will keep looking!

Searching google with D-Link DIR-825 DualBand Wireless-N Gigabit Broadband Router returns a good few results.

OcUK has the 635, 655 and 855. The 855 is too pricey in general though.
