For some reason I don’t seem to be able to transfer large files across my wireless network, even with full signal and the computers sitting 2 feet apart. I can transfer smaller files around 100MB fine, but larger files 500MB+ get around quarter of the way through then Vista says that it cannot find the file and that its no longer at the location. After clicking try again it transfers a bit more and then comes up with the same error. It never completes.
Also speeds are very erratic, i.e. one minute I will be getting 5MB/second and the next it’s at 0Kbps-200Kbps.
I’m using Vista 64Bit with all updates installed (including SP1 and the optional WiFi fixes), ive tried 802.11g and 802.11n with security on and off using different channels. There are 16 other wireless networks in range but since im only 2 feet from ther router I don’t see this being a big problem?
