Hey all

Trust me to come on with another wierd problem:rolleyes: Anyway i've been having this problem for a while now and figured it was time i pulled my finger out and got it fixed:p i need a few other odds n sods anyway

Basically occasionally my pc blue screens and when it's re booted the windows problem checker says it's the wireless card! I'm using a Dlink DWL-G510, i've tried to update the drivers but for some reson windows won't let me, saying 'the best driver is already loaded'

So, i was wondering if anyone has any clues?
Should i just buy a new card, they are only cheep!
If i buy a new card, any recomendations?

p.s i've never got on with belkin, Dlink have untill now bean 100% reliable:(

you can force it to take the new driver by uninstalling it completely in device manager then installing it with the new driver.
I assume you got this driver from the Dlink Website not using windows update?
What kind of Blue screen is it? shouldn't be an IRQ based blue screen but you never know.

Thanks for the reply. I had thought about doing the uninstall from there last night, thought i'd wait till i had a few hours knowing my luck! Yes i got the driver from Dlink directly.
Tbh i hadn't noticed what the error message was for the blue screen, i'll look if it does it again and let you know!

I'm really hoping i can get this system stable as it's given me headaches since i built the thing:(
