Morning all,

Hoping someone can help me with this as I am having issues. The girlfriends laptop had the OS re-installed (vista 32bit). The problem being is she does not have the chip set drivers and we could not find the make/model of the wireless card. after some digging found a hardware scanner and is made it out to be an Atheros 5007eg. One problem now. I have looked around and all I can find in terms of drivers for this is 2 ini files in zipped folder. Anyone know is there is an installer for this at all, or have any advise that can help me?

cheers for you help,

PIMP

You can normally grab all the drivers from the Manufacturers website if you search under the product model or serial number of the Laptop. Have you tried this? A quick Google search shows quite a few results for 'Atheros 5007eg driver' but you might need a specific one for your laptop model.

You could also try connecting it via Ethernet and then going into device manager and accessing the device properties to search for drivers online.

I have tried the manufactures website and it is a load of crap. the only install for the driver is on a czech site and only has the ini files, no msi. checking site for hp a910em there are no wireless drivers at all (realtec nic card driver already installed)

I've ended up emailing the maker of the card asking for a link for a d/l of the driver as thier site does not have a support/download page
